Our aims

Children’s Hearings Scotland and the Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration have joint corporate parenting aims

To make sure that the service you receive from us is the very best it can be, we (SCRA and CHS) have developed a shared set of aims.

Our Corporate Parenting aims:

  • You are at the centre of the Children’s Hearings System and are treated as an individual.
  • The decisions that may affect you are based on sound knowledge, clear evidence and with consideration of your views.
  • Your corporate parents will work together to make the Hearings System work better for you.
  • We will keep asking ourselves if the way that we do things is the best it can be.

Our plans

A summary of our commitments can be seen by following the links and to see our full Corporate Parenting Plans with further details about what you can expect to see over the next three years.

If you have any questions about the plans, you can contact CHS via communications@chs.gov.uk or SCRA at communications@scra.gov.uk
