SCRA has launched a new suite of materials to provide information and support to children and young people on how to complain if they wish to.

We have an updated complaints form for children and a new look complaints form for young people. In addition, there is a new poster which will be displayed in Hearing centres and reception areas.

SCRA’s Participation Officer, Jennifer Orren explained: “We wanted to make the complaints process more understandable and accessible to children and young people.

“We also want to raise awareness among children and young people in the Hearings System to let them know that they can complain if they are unhappy with decisions made by us, the actions or behaviour of our staff, the time we have taken to deal with anything, or the buildings/facilities provided by SCRA.

“We hope this package of materials will help children and young people feel comfortable and confident about making a complaint to SCRA should they wish to.”

In addition, we have also produced a short cartoon animation about making a complaint which you can view below.
